How to delete your Ved Purohit account and personal data, what is removed, and what the law makes us keep.

01On the website
Sign in, open My Account, tap Delete profile and confirm. Your account is closed at once: you are signed out everywhere and bookings that are still waiting are cancelled.
02By e-mail or phone
Write to vedpurohitofficial@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my Ved Purohit account", from the e-mail on your account or giving the mobile number on your account, so that we can confirm it is yours — or call or WhatsApp +91 93364 11150. We complete the deletion within 30 days — usually within a few working days — and confirm when it is done.
03Before you delete (pandits)
Settle any amount due first, and finish or hand back the bookings you have accepted — a family is waiting for you.
04What is deleted
Your name, mobile number, e-mail, photo, saved addresses, and the yajman names and gotra given for bookings. For a pandit ji also: the Aadhaar and PAN numbers and their photos, the payment details, and the profile — it is taken off the website and no longer linked to you.
05What is kept, and why
Booking, payment and invoice records — the amounts, dates and references — for 8 years, because Indian tax and accounting law requires them; they are no longer linked to your name. The record of your consent (date, time and IP address of your acceptance), as legal proof that consent was given. Backups made before the deletion are overwritten in the normal backup cycle.
06Deleting only some data
You can change or remove your photo, addresses and profile details yourself at any time. To have a specific item deleted without closing your account, write to vedpurohitofficial@gmail.com.
