Pandit ji Terms
The terms on which a pandit, purohit, acharya, kathavachak or jyotishacharya is listed on Ved Purohit and performs pujas booked here.
Last updated 31 October 2026
01Who you are
You join Ved Purohit as a pandit ji who performs pujas, sanskar and anushthan booked by its families. You choose when you are available and which bookings you accept, and you are responsible for performing them properly.
02Joining
You give your name, photo, your experience, the pujas you perform, the languages you speak, the area you serve, and identity documents (Aadhaar and PAN). Everything must be true and your own. Our team reviews each application and may approve it, ask for more, or decline it. One person, one profile.
03Getting bookings
Our team assigns you bookings for the pujas you perform, and a family can also choose you for a puja you are listed for. Keep your phone's notifications on so that you see a booking in time.
04Accepting means going
Accept only what you can perform at that time and place. Reach before the muhurat with what the puja needs, and tell our team at once if you are delayed.
05Vidhi-vidhan
Perform every puja by its proper Vedic vidhi, with the sankalp in the yajman's name and gotra. Explain the steps to the family where it helps them. Bring the samagri only when it was agreed that you would.
06Dakshina
Take only the dakshina confirmed by our team for the booking — nothing more. Do not ask the family to pay outside the booking or to book you privately. What a family offers of its own wish is theirs to decide.
07How you are paid
How the dakshina is settled between you and Ved Purohit is agreed with you when your profile is approved, and every booking in your panel shows its amount.
08Conduct
Be courteous, carry your ID, respect the family's home, temple or venue and its customs, take nothing that is not yours, and bring any dispute about payment to our team rather than arguing with the family.
09Family details
A family's name, address, number, and the names and gotra given for the sankalp are shared with you only to perform the booking. Do not save, share or use them for anything else.
10Complaints
If a family reports a problem within 48 hours, our team talks to you about it and may ask you to put it right.
11Pausing or ending a listing
You can stop taking bookings or delete your profile at any time; settle any amount due first. We may pause or remove a profile for false details, dishonest conduct, repeated no-shows or serious complaints.
12Taxes
You are responsible for any tax on your own income.
