Dakshina & Payments
How the dakshina for a puja is decided on Ved Purohit, and how and when you pay. Every amount is in Indian Rupees.

01Dakshina on confirmation
Most pujas show "Dakshina on confirmation". The dakshina depends on the puja and its vidhi, how long it takes, how many pandits it needs, and whether pandit ji brings the samagri — so our team confirms it with you for your puja, before the booking is confirmed. You can decline at that point and nothing is charged.
02Pujas that show an amount
When a puja shows an amount, that is its dakshina for the unit shown (per puja, per path, per day…). Your booking adds up every puja you chose.
03Samagri
If pandit ji brings the samagri, its cost is told to you together with the dakshina. If you arrange it yourself, nothing is added for it.
04Fees
There is no booking fee from Ved Purohit — what you pay is the dakshina confirmed with you. Any tax that applies is included in the amount you are told.
05When you pay
After the puja. Nothing is collected in advance unless it was clearly agreed with you when the booking was confirmed.
06Ways to pay
Our team tells you the ways you can pay when the booking is confirmed — usually cash or UPI. If online payment is offered for your booking, it is made on the payment gateway's secure page; Ved Purohit never sees or stores your card details or UPI PIN.
07Receipts
Ask our team for a receipt for your puja.
08Refunds
Money paid online for a puja that did not happen is refunded to the way you paid within 5–7 working days. See the Cancellation & Refund Policy.
09Stay safe
Pay only the dakshina confirmed with you. Ved Purohit never asks for an advance on a call, a one-time code, or a payment to a personal number before the puja. If anybody does, do not pay — tell us.
A question before you book?
Ask us about the puja, the muhurat, the samagri or the dakshina — a person answers, and nothing is charged for asking.
