Privacy Policy

What Ved Purohit collects on this website, why we hold it, who sees it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Last updated 31 October 2026

01Who is responsible for your data

Ved Purohit. Anything about this page reaches a person at +91 93364 11150 (call or WhatsApp) or vedpurohitofficial@gmail.com.

02What we collect from families

For an account: your name and mobile number and, if you give them, your e-mail and photo. For a booking: the puja you chose, the venue's address and location, the venue type, the date and time (or your request for a muhurat), who arranges the samagri, and — if you give them for the sankalp — the yajman's name and gotra, and any note you add. Messages you send us through the website.

03What we collect from pandits

If you apply to be listed as a pandit ji: your name, photo, mobile number, your experience, the pujas you perform, the languages you speak, the area you serve, identity documents (Aadhaar and PAN), and the details you give for payments.

04Location

The website reads your location only after you allow it, to fill in the address of the venue. You can type the address instead.

05What pandit ji sees

The pandit ji assigned to your booking sees what the puja needs: your name, the puja, the date and time, the venue and its address, the samagri choice, the yajman's name and gotra for the sankalp, your note, and a way to reach you. Your number is not shown to anyone else.

06Why we hold it

To take and run your booking, to assign a pandit ji, to perform the sankalp in the right name and gotra, to contact you about the puja, to resolve a complaint, to prevent misuse, and to keep the records the law requires.

07Who else receives it

Only the services that make the website work, and only what each needs: our hosting provider, the providers that send our SMS, WhatsApp and e-mail messages, and a payment gateway if you pay online. We do not sell your data. We disclose data to a government authority only when the law requires it.

08Payments

If you pay online, you enter your card, net-banking or UPI details only on the payment gateway's secure page or inside your own UPI app — we never see or store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN or net-banking password. We keep the payment reference, amount, time and status.

09Messages from us

We send news or reminders only to people who agreed to receive them, and you can stop them at any time by writing to us. Messages about your booking keep coming, because you need those.

10How long we keep it

Your account and saved addresses are kept while you use the website and deleted when you delete your account. Booking, payment and invoice records are kept for 8 years, as Indian tax and accounting law requires, and are then deleted. The record of your consent (date, time and IP address) is kept as proof for as long as those records are. Technical logs are kept for up to 90 days.

11Deleting your account

See the Delete your account page (/delete-account/ on this website) or write to us. A deleted account cannot be restored.

12Your rights

Write to vedpurohitofficial@gmail.com and you can ask for a copy of what we hold, a correction, withdrawal of a consent you gave, or deletion of your account and its data. We reply within a few working days.

13Children

Bookings are made by adults. A child's name may be given for a sanskar (naamkaran, mundan, janeu…) by a parent or guardian; we use it only for that puja.

14Security

Data travels over encrypted connections, access is limited to the people who need it, and passwords are never stored in readable form. No system is perfectly safe; if a breach affects you, we tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

15Cookies

A small number, to keep you signed in and remember the pujas you chose. There are no advertising trackers on this website.

16Grievances

Write to Ved Purohit. E-mail vedpurohitofficial@gmail.com. Phone or WhatsApp +91 93364 11150. We acknowledge a complaint within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within one month.

17Changes to this policy

When this policy changes materially, the date at the top changes and the new version applies from then.

A question before you book?

Ask us about the puja, the muhurat, the samagri or the dakshina — a person answers, and nothing is charged for asking.
